Tea is a great way to relax and reduce stress, which can be helpful for a migraine sufferer. Herbal tea, a tea infuser, and a cute tea cup would make a wonderful gift for those suffering from migraines.
Popular teas for migraines:
Ginger Tea: Ginger tea is known for its ability to help with an upset stomach. Ginger tea is a natural remedy for helping with nausea which plagues many suffering from migraines. Here’s a great one that has turmeric blended with it. This tea is a great anti-inflammatory.
Peppermint Tea: Peppermint tea is also good for an upset stomach and is anti-inflammatory. Here is another wonderful tea by Tulsi. I love their teas plus, they are organic.
Chamomille: I love a cuppa chamomile tea. It’s wonderful for helping you to relax. It also helps reduce the stress and anxiety that goes along with migraine attacks.

Patches and Oils
Migraine sufferers can benefit from the use of pain relief patches, oils, or gummies. While these products are not specifically designed for migraines, they do provide some relief from pain and can maybe help you get a good night’s sleep.
I often use the oils on pressure points like on my temples and the back of my neck. I carry them in my purse so I can apply them if a migraine hits when I’m away from home. Here are a few of my favorites. I haven’t tried the chamomile patches but have them in my cart. They get great reviews.

Noise-Canceling Earphones or a White Noise Machine
Often we are sensitive to noise so some noise canceling earphones would be a nice gift. They are great for blocking out the noise and listening to soothing music or white noise. White noise has been researched to treat migraines. You might rather purchase a white noise machine. My grandson has one he uses to block out the noise because he’s a light sleeper. I find it rather relaxing and soothing.
Migraine Journal or App
Migraine journal/tracker is a wonderful way to help you track migraines. It can also be used to find out what triggers your migraine attacks and how often they occur.
The idea behind this is simple: Migraine journal will help you discover the patterns in your migraine attacks so that you can better manage them. You may also want to include information about the symptoms associated with the attacks, such as pain levels, nausea, vomiting, medications used, and other factors.
A migraine journal is not only useful for treatment purposes but also for research purposes. The more you know about your condition and its triggers, the better prepared you’ll be to manage it effectively.
I personally use an app called Migraine Buddy and I’ve been using it for years. They have a subscription that allows more features, but the free version offers everything I need.
Cook a Meal or Run Errands
This!!! If you live nearby, ask your loved one if they need groceries picked up, errands ran or a cooked meal. You can’t go wrong with a home-cooked mealโjust make sure you ask ahead of time if there are any foods they shouldn’t eat or aren’t in the mood for. They may be nauseated and may not feel like eating a bowl of chili, but I can guarantee you they will love not having to cook for themselves. When you feel bad it’s the last thing you want to do.
Final Thoughts
In the fight to find relief, there is no one size fits all method. Each migraine sufferer will have their own favorite remedy, but it might be helpful to recognize that The best gifts are those which cannot be bought with money. Give your loved ones the gift of time and attention by doing things that will help them when they are dealing with migraines. Even offering to accompany them to their appointments and doing research on their behalf can bring an amazing sense of relief during a difficult time in life.
If you want to learn more about migraines and how you can help raise awareness, you can find more information at The Migraine Awareness Foundation.
