  • 10 oz Ghiradelli's dark chocolate melting wafers

Instructions

  • Melt white chocolate wafers as directed on the back of the bag. Defrost mode is usually best.

  • Melt dark chocolate wafers as directed on the back of the bag. Defrost mode is usually best.
  • Dip the other half of the pretzels into the dark chocolate and place on parchment paper. Dip one pretzel stick each into the dark chocolate and place on each snowman where the white chocolate and dark chocolate meet to make the hat.
  • Using white chocolate lightly coat the back of the eyes and noses one at a time and place them onto the snowmen. I use tweezers for this that I keep just for baking.
  • Use the black sparkle gel to draw dots onto the snowmen. Let dry and serve.

How to Make Snowman Pretzels

What Youโ€™ll Need

  • 10 oz Ghirardelli’s white chocolate melting wafers โ€“ for that frosty snowman coat.
  • 10 oz Ghirardelli’s dark chocolate melting wafers โ€“ the dapper top hat look.
  • 56 pretzel sticks โ€“ the sturdy backbone of our snowmen.
  • 16 candy eye sprinkles โ€“ because every snowman needs a twinkle in their eye.
  • 8 carrot candy sprinkles โ€“ the signature snowman noses.
  • 1 tube black sparkle gel โ€“ for those charming little smiles.
  • Christmas sprinkles โ€“ optional, but why not add a little extra holiday cheer?

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Start with the Frosty Foundation

Melt your white chocolate wafers following the instructions on the bag (defrost mode works wonders). Once melted and smooth, gather six pretzels per snowman. Dip them about halfway into the white chocolate to form the snowmanโ€™s โ€œbody,โ€ then lay them out on parchment paper to dry. Donโ€™t worry about perfection hereโ€”snowmen are meant to be one-of-a-kind!

2. Add a Touch of Class

Now, melt your dark chocolate wafers using the same method. Take each pretzel snowman and dip the other half into the dark chocolate to create a stylish hat. For an extra touch, dip one pretzel stick per snowman into the dark chocolate and place it horizontally at the spot where the white and dark chocolates meetโ€”voila, the brim of the hat! Let it all set up on parchment paper.

3. Bring Them to Life

Using a tiny dab of melted white chocolate as glue (tweezers are your best friend here!), attach two candy eyes and one carrot nose to each snowman. Take your timeโ€”this is where they really come to life!

4. Add Those Snowman Smiles

With your black sparkle gel, dot on little smiles, or let your creativity shineโ€”add a mischievous smirk or a big jolly grin!

5. Sprinkle Some Holiday Magic

If youโ€™re feeling festive, sprinkle a little Christmas cheer (literally) over the snowman’s hat while the chocolate is still setting. A few Christmas sprinkles here and there never hurt anyone.

6. Let Them Set and Serve

Give your snowmen a little time to dry completely. Once set, carefully peel them off the parchment paper and arrange them on a platter. These snowman pretzels are ready to steal the show at any holiday gatheringโ€”or be devoured in record time.
