Preheat your oven 425°F
Put 1 T. bacon grease in your iron skillet and place in oven while it preheats.
Comine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well.
Once oven is preheated and your iron skillet is smoking hot, remove skillet from oven.
Pour some of hot grease in your cornbread mixture and stir.
Sprinkle some cornmeal (about 1 tsp.)on your hot iron skillet. This will help prevent the cornbread from sticking.
Pour cornbread mixture in hot skillet. It will sizzle!
Place in oven and bake about 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
Remove from oven and remove cornbread from skillet by turning it out on a plate. Slice and serve.
