Chocolate Sauce

No ratings yet
A rich and glossy chocolate sauce with a deep, intense chocolate flavor—perfect for drizzling over desserts or dipping fruits.
Course: Dessert
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup 60% dark chocolate bar or chips or any good-quality dark chocolate, chopped
  • ¾ cup Hershey’s chocolate syrup
  • Optional: 1-2 tablespoons Grand Marnier for a subtle citrusy depth

Method

  1. Prepare a double boiler: Fill a saucepan with about an inch of water and bring it to a gentle simmer. Place a heatproof bowl on top, ensuring it doesn’t touch the water.
  2. Melt the chocolate: Add Hershey’s chocolate syrup and the dark chocolate chips (or chopped chocolate) to the bowl and stir occasionally until melted. Mix until fully combined and smooth.
  3. Add Grand Marnier (optional): If using, stir in the Grand Marnier and let the flavors meld for a minute.
  4. The sauce is best served warm.

Notes

Serving Ideas:
Drizzle over peanut butter pie, brownies, or ice cream.
Use as a fondue dip for strawberries, bananas, or marshmallows.
